Our company and history
In March 2002, Twin Lakes Engineering designed, built and installed the Southern Hemisphere’s first vertical wind tunnel (called Freefall Xtreme) in Rotorua, New Zealand. This tunnel is one of the safest and most powerful tunnels in the world.
This background gave birth to Freeflight Vertical Wind Tunnels in Feburary 2005. Freeflight is the supporting organisation to facilitate the design and manufacture by Twin Lakes Sheetmetals (formed in 1987). Both companies are based in Wellington, New Zealand.
